The 10-Second Look · Last updated: July 23, 2026
The short version. The 10-Second Look asks for as little as possible: an email (or Sign in with Apple) to save your history, and the feelings you tap. We never ask for, see, or store your bank balance, account numbers, or transactions, and the app never connects to your bank.
This policy explains what The 10-Second Look ("the app," "we," "us") — a product of FUC Money, made in Toronto, Canada — collects, why, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Your account. To use the app you create an account with your email and a password, or with Sign in with Apple. This lets your history follow you to a new device. If you use Apple, we request no name and no email from Apple — just an anonymous Apple identifier.
- Your looks. Each time you complete the ritual we store the feeling word you choose (for example "anxious" or "hopeful") and the calendar date. That's it.
- A few things about you (optional). During setup we ask your age range, how you feel about money, and what you want from the app. These are emotional answers, not financial ones. Age is optional, and this is only ever used to shape your experience — never shown to anyone else, never tied to a number.
- Feedback you send. If you write us feedback in the app, we store what you wrote so we can read and act on it.
- Basic settings. Your reminder time (if you set one) and your device's time zone (used to know what "today" means for you).
- Product analytics. Anonymous usage events (e.g., that a look was completed, or which feeling was chosen), app version, and device type, via PostHog. You can turn this off (see "Your choices").
What we never collect
- Your bank balance, account numbers, or transactions. The app has no connection to any financial institution.
- Your name, phone number, contacts, or precise location. (We do collect your email if you sign up with one — see above.)
- Advertising identifiers. We show no ads and do not track you across other apps or websites, so the app does not trigger App Tracking Transparency.
The website (fucmoney.com)
Our website uses PostHog for first-party analytics so we can see what's actually useful: page views, which of the free tools you use, and whether you tap through to the App Store. It's the same analytics provider as the app, processed in the United States. We run no ads and use no third-party cross-site ad trackers, and we never sell this data. The tools ask for no account and store nothing about your finances — the numbers you type stay in your browser.
How we use what we collect
- To run the ritual and save your personal streak and calendar.
- To show aggregate community numbers — e.g., "41 people felt anxious today." These are counts only; we never reveal who felt what.
- To send the daily reminder you schedule (see "Notifications").
- To understand how the app is used and improve it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the app:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored on servers in Canada.
- PostHog — product analytics for the app (only if you have not opted out) and for the website. Processed in the United States.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, if you use it.
Notifications
If you turn on a reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. The reminder content is not sent to or through our servers.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your looks while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → "delete my account & data." This removes your account, your looks, and your profile. You may also email us to request deletion.
Your choices & rights
- Analytics: turn it off in Settings → "opt out of analytics."
- Reminders: turn them on or off, or change the time, in Settings.
- Access & deletion: you can delete everything in-app. Canadian (PIPEDA) and EU/UK (GDPR) residents have additional rights to access, correct, and erase personal data — contact us to exercise them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain, and database access is restricted so each person can only read their own looks. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Age
The app is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account and use the Service. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
